Pyramid Audio -- Audio Repair Center Brands

Information on brands we work on, and some that we don't:

ALPINE	After almost 20 years of service we no longer do Alpine warranty work. Alpine chose to cancel all servicers not performing at least 30 warranty repairs per month. This left just about 4 "five star serviceers". We still have a parts account and service manuals, so we continue to repair out of warranty customers. For Alpine warranty repairs, we recommend United Radio Service in Syracuse, New York.
ADCOM	Well made American electronics popular for their GFA amplifiers. These are far more capable than a receiver when used on speakers of less than 8 ohms. We support them in and out of warranty.
AUDIOBAHN	Audiobahn makes good amps, some really big ones at that. After the one year warranty (over the counter exchange), they want you to find a local repair shop. That's no longer us.
BANG & OLUFSEN	Bang & Olufsen is a great company with the best customer support and superior mechanical engineering. We send a tech to training classes every year. The original MMC-20/S/EN/CL and MMC-1/2/3/4/5/ cartridges are no longer available. See Sound Smith for a B&O authorized replica.
BOSE HOME AUDIO	Bose Home Audio only, If you have a Bose car stereo take it back to your car dealership (eg Toyota, Nissan, GM, etc.). The name Bose on a car stereo refers to the speakers and maybe the amps elsewhere in the car.
CARVER	Carver has all but disappeared and changed hands at least twice. Send your amp here, most Carver amplifier parts are still available.
CLARION	We no longer work on Clarion audio equipment. Contact United Radio in New York.
DENON	There are only 8 service shops in the USA which Denon refers to as Denon Super Service Centers, welcome to ours. DSSC means we get additional training and service commercial products (most have DN prefixes). Denon commercial models are started on in 48 hours or sooner in most cases.
JVC	We no longer service JVC products. Their affordable VCRs and stereos mean you can replace it rather than have it repaired.
KENWOOD	Good stuff, but we only service their car audio equipment.
LEXICON	American made separates with awesome build quality. We are 1 of only 2 factory authorized service centers in the USA.
MARANTZ	No warranty work, but I worked on Marantz in the late 70's and I still have the manuals. I can repair your Classic. 2230 2245 2270 2324 115 240 250 etc...Newer models should go to Advanced Electronics in Lubbock
MARK LEVINSON	American made separates with the highest build quality. We are 1 of only 2 factory authorized service centers across the USA. One of our techs has Levinson experience going back to 1996.
MCINTOSH	Incredible name recognition. We do in and out of warranty work for them. I am constantly amazed how many Mac customers drive to Austin on a Saturday to bring us their equipment instead of taking a chance on shipping.
NAD	We are no longer a warranty station for NAD. Please contact K-O Electronics in Dallas. Out of warranty? We may be able to help you, call us first.
NAKAMICHI	Their older units were well made, but parts are getting hard to find, especially older motors. We service their home and pro equipment out of warranty only. No car audio or Soundspace models.
ONKYO	We know their receivers inside and out. We no longer do warranty work for them, but out of warranty we can help.
PANASONIC	Panasonic service is limited to car audio products and the SV series DAT players
PIONEER	Lots of this out there, and we fix all we see except for their televisions. We also stock many of the Pioneer car stereo wiring harnesses. Now selected as on one of the few DVD software update centers. We are also one of 10 DJ warranty stations covering a 14 state area.
PROCEED	American made separates with awesome build quality. As of 2006 we are 1 of only 2 factory authorized service centers across the USA. One of our techs has experience going back to 1996.
PYRAMID	Sound Around of Brooklyn New York makes Pyramid products. We are not associated in any way with Pyramid products made by Sound Around or any other business. THIS Pyramid Audio is a repair business founded in TEXAS in 1980.
REVEL	The B-15 subwoofer in warranty is a modular repair, when it fails the entire amp module is exchanged. During the re-organization I handled a module exchange and recognized the design. While I dont have the exact schematic I have several I think are close enough in order to repair it. Since this is about a $1000 retail module I said I wanted to try supporting this model out of warranty. We got the green light and now accept the B-15 amp module for service.
ROCKFORD FOSGATE	We only do out of warranty repairs, yet we have schematics for their amplifiers going way back. Repair of the SD and HD series should not be attempted due to custom parts that are no longer available. Everything else is easily worth fixing.
ROKU	While ROKU makes several products we support only the HD1000. We have found many loyal ROKU customers with dead HD1000s caused by minor weaknesses in the power supply and motherboard. We can repair and make these reliable for $89 +$15 S&H (taxes will apply if you're in Texas).
SONY ES	We have special recognition as a Sony Excellent Servicer that gets us faster parts delivery and other incentives. We support High Fidelity Home Audio. This means NO VCR, CD, DVD, TV, portables, phones, playstations, or camcorders. Sony opened a giant facility on the Texas/Mexico border and anything light enough to ship must go there for warranty work.
TECHNICS	Service excludes keyboards but includes gear like the SL-1200 turntable. We stock most parts, including tone arms for these turntables to minimize down time. We also have the home audio manuals from back in the 70's. Great stuff back then.
YAMAHA	Yamaha makes great home electronics. They have several regional service centers and we are yours for Texas and the surrounding States. There are several other Yamaha divisions we are not connected to: Yamaha Technology Systems make the computer CD-R, Yamaha Music makes instruments and keyboards, Yamaha Motors makes motorcycles...we only do their home electronics.

SPECIAL SERVICES

ISF calibration We use the Milori Colorfacts analyzer and have 2 ISF certified calibrators in house. We know; Mitubishi, Runco, Electrohome, and Vidikron particularly well. In-home system setup and calibration. Just moved? We can hook up and set up your system. We can refer you to some excellent companies for new installations if you are just building.	Studio and Pro Sound service I thought that we were as good as any in the country in this industry. I didn't know, however, until I was told by a world traveled musician/producer that our skills are as good as any in the world.
Crestron programming. When High Fidelity in Austin closed, we acquired their programmer. If you are a Crestron dealer and need programming done, call us. If you have a Crestron system installed by High Fidelity and need programming updates, give us a call.	I am amazed how many customers will drive to Austin from Houston or Dallas on a Saturday and bring us their equipment instead of taking a chance on shipping. B&O and McIntosh customers especially, you¹re the best.
